Historical aviation films from the Civil Aviation Historical Society's archive will be shown in our first Film Night for 2018 at the Airways Museum.

Air Traffic Control – The Private Pilot (1970)

Acting out several typical scenarios that Private Pilots may fall prey to. Plenty of GA and military aircraft shown.

History of the Helicopter (to 1954)

Many unusual types shown not seen before in other documentaries.

Faster than Sound (1946)

The story of the Miles M.52 supersonic research aircraft.

No Alibi (1946)

Training film using a married couple in the RAF to show the chain of events that can occur in aircraft accidents though carelessness. Many real aircraft damaged in the process including Spitfires, Mosquito, Oxford, Proctor, etc!
